A Gift from Japan (Please scroll down to the next post for The Stampman Blog Hop)

Look what the postman brought me this morning!!Its so exciting when a letter or gift comes from my penfriend in Japan.I could kiss him.Though it was my son Callum who answered the door this time so he got the kiss instead!!!lol
This was inside the outer packaging and wrapped so beautifully. The Japanese knot was too nice to open.I just lurve it.

Anyway I couldn't resist the temptation any longer and ripped it open!!hee hee Inside was three beautiful towels and loads of goodies, the kids are drooling over.

Even Leo had to have a look in and he just loved playing with the cords!!
Thankyou so much Kiyomi.I just love it all.
I hope you got your present.xxx

Quickest Christmas Card Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday Taggers Let it Snow
Oh Dear mad panic or what!!!!! Do you ever forget anyone with your cards???I really thought I had finished with them until one popped through my door the very last minute!!(I think I still have posting time!well just i hope!!!)
All I can say is thank goodness for my cuttlebug.I embossed the white card alone with the snowflake folder and quickly stamped the tree and embossed with crystal ep.

For the leaves I sprinkled with cosmic shimmer crystal jewels.Must say it goes with todays weather very well.!!!
Also if you scroll down there are more posts on snowflakes!!!much more!!lol

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas!!!

Yes I truly am!!I can't remember the last time we had snow on Christmas Day.It would be just perfect . Its just a week too early!!!

Below are some wine glass charms I have made from my snowflake punch and shrink plastic.Ive also added a little glossy accents and glitter for that extra sparkle.I saw some in a shop and they were £9.99 for 6.!!!!So I got my re-cycling head on again and set to work!!!

I actually added a bell on mine just so I can hear any little thieves having a taste!!!lol

Also while on the subject of snowflakes,Ive just noticed this card matches by background!!!lol
This is what I call my quick and easy card and Ive made quite a few like this in different colours too.All Ive done is used the white core coloured card and run through my cuttlebug with the snowflakes folder. Then i sanded the top slightly with a sanding block for the white to show through. So simple but effective.Embellished with...yes you guesssed it 'snowflakes'!!!lol

The stamp is another old stamp by heroarts
I think that may be just about it with the Christmas Cards!!!for this year
Thanks

Tuesday Taggers Jolly Old St Nick

This weeks Tuesday Taggers has been dedicated to St Nick.
Rather than make a card(bit fed up with cards now!!!LOL) I'd thought id make a tree decoration. So I drew a bauble on shrink plastic and stamped my favourite St Nick image using black archival ink. Then I added a little colour using Brilliance inks and for the holly i used sakura pens. When I shrunk it down i added gold acrylic paint around the edges

Then added a couple of jingle bells and Organza ribbon.

Here is a card I made for a friend last year, but jazzed him up alittle with raspberry and pool adirondack inks.
'HO HO HO !!!' not long now kids

Christmas Cards for our Mums

Here's a couple more cards i have made for both our Mums.Again Ive done easel Cards which seem to be very popular this year and so simple.
My mum loves poinsettias, so I used an oldish stamp by Penny Black which I have had a while. I stamped with Brilliance pearlescent inks which just add that extra sparkle.Again I have added my snowflake embellishment, which I am putting on everything at the moment!!(I'm just secretly dreaming of a white christmas!!!)

I then, last night realised, as I was wrapping pressies I had no Tags!!Yikes So I quickley dashed to my craftroom to see what I could magic together and this was the result.(I think I got a little carried away!!!)

Thanks
AND Byee for now

Christmas Cards for my feline friends.

Well I couldnt resist this stamp when I saw it at Harrogate back in September.Although we didnt have our kitten then I knew it would be purrfect! for a few of my friends!
I have done an easel card again(just loving these at the mo!)

The greeting stamp is one I have had for a few years and I think is Stampendous. The snowflakes I punched out. Please shout at me if im still using them in the summer !!!lol

and finally the next card is more of a joke!! When my Mum saw the stamp of the cat in a bra,she asked me if I could make it into a Christmas card for her neighbour who apparently dislikes cats and they have some sort of joke between the two of them about another neighbour hanging her sexy smalls on the line!!!!(No don't ask they really do worry me!!!)

and before I bore you to death-on the subject of kittens here's our little Leo now 4 months. He looks so sweet on this pic,but he is becoming quite mischievous and has taken quite a likening to the chair in my craftroom!!!

Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a fab weekend!

Bye for now

'Sleigh bells ring are you listening'!!

This weeks Tuesday Taggers Challenge is Christmas Carols. Here is my entry.
I used the Aspects of design sheet 'Winter Wonderland' which can be found HERE .I told Jill I wasnt going to use this stampsheet this year,(not because I dont like it) but because I love it and I think I have used it every year for the last 5 !!!lol Every stamp on it is just fabby!!

I punched out the snowflake embellishment with my cuttlebug. Also I used a cuttlebug folder 'ice crystal' on velum for the background paper. The rest is from stash. For the trees I stamped using Brilliance pearlescent Ivy and embossed with crystal embossing powder and added a little fluffy stuff for the snow. The Merry Christmas greeting is a stampendous stamp.

Right better go.Day off today so loads of cleaning to do.I might even decorate one of my fire places!!

see you soon

An Easel Card

I know I should be doing Christmas cards now,but I had to do my Mum in law a birthday card for Friday. So with seeing the Craft Stamper made me want to dig the Butterfly stamps out for another play.Dont think I will ever get fed up of these!! So I combined them with my favourite tools at the moment being the Cuttlebug and nesties!!
Again I used Dusty Concord and Milled Lavender Distress inks, mainly because they are handy and quick and she loves these colours!!
Can I also thank everyone for their comments they leave. They are all very much appreciated.I really love getting them!
bye for now

A Christmas keepsake!!

At last Yippeee its finished!!!(Ive kept looking at it for a year!!)
This weeks Tuesday Taggers is red, green and gold.
Im slowly getting into the Christmas spirit ,but i still haven't started my cards.
I think I used nearly everything on this project.Starburst stains,Moonshadow Ink,Alcohol Inks ,Shrink Plastic and the Cuttlebug. You name it just everything!!!!
I actually made a start last year, but was so behind on my cards I left it and after seeing another take on it recently in the Craft Stamper it spurred me on again!!!

For the Father Christmas I stamped onto Shrink Plastic and trimmed down while still warm so he would fit into the frame. This was the tricky bit.But to my surprise it actually worked the first time!!

Anyway I'd better go.I'm in a rush so I will add more details tonight. Please pop back and thanks for looking.

Christmas Wine Box

Tuesday Taggers No Patterned Papers.
Sorry for my lack of posting lately, but i'm still here!!Just not had the mojo.Well until i started this on Saturday. I really need to get into the Christmas spirit.
Ive had the wine holder for ages now but just havent had the time to alter it.But i knew as soon as i saw these stamps they would be perfect for the job AND I had to use my favourite colourways!!
I used Tim Holtz 'Reindeer Flight' and alcohol inks on glossy card which i then wrapped around the holder.
For the Reindeer I used Utee and then glued onto a wooden Christmas Bauble
Here, for the middle of the embellishment I stamped the trees from the set onto shrink plastic and used glossy accents to keep in place and to add a glossy effect.

I must admit it wasnt the easiest of projects to photograph!!

I can feel some Christmas Cards coming on!!! Guess what i'm going to use!!
Thanks for looking

Funky Flower elements and Shrink Plastic using Nestibilities!!

Here is one of the cards I made for The Stampman Create and Craft show which was on this Week.I have used the elements which are on the Aspects of Design Funky Flowers sheet.
Kay also used these in her demo on the show.

I thought i'd have a go using the nestiblities to cut out the shrink plastic and HEY PRESTO it worked a treat!!!YOU'VE GOT TO TRY IT!! Before I shrunk it down i coloured the daisy with the sakura stardust pens and used the yellow around the edges from the Colourbox chalk ink pad Ocean Breeze which were also featured on the show. I actually forgot to take pictues of them before i gave them to Jill,so this was actually took on my Blackberry,so i must apologise if its not a good photo.I will post the others up as soon as manage to grab them back off Jill, though she has them at Doncaster this weekend. If your going pop in and say Hello to her,I know she would love to see you all.
Bye for now and have a great weekend

Really Excited!!!

Oh Dear what have i done(that's what i will be telling myself this time next week!!!)Tonight we are collecting our little kitten!Ive never had a cat before, aways had horses, dogs and budgies!!So a little nervous but really really looking forward to it.He is absolutely gorgeous and will most definately be the most spoilt kitten around.I don't know who is the most excited me or the kids!!
Here is the card I have made for the lovely lady we are getting him from. She fosters cats for cats protection and he was born in her care.
The stamp is by Penny black and probably one of the first ones i ever bought years ago and still one of my favourites and purr-fect!! for this occasion

Here he is with Sophie. We have named him Leo (because he was born in August) and is so fluffy.

So i will be kitten sitting or should i say sofa, curtain and eveything else watching this weekend!!!

Bye for now

Hi
Here are another two of the cards i made using the New stamp sheets from The Stampman. I really cant decide which is my favourite,as they all are nice.I suppose with having a 10 year old daughter i'd probably choose the fairies, but then again as she grows the Butterfly Beauties would suit!and then the music is just great and makes great men cards!!!Oh decisions decisions!!!!Get them all!!!ha ha
Here on the music card i have used the Moonglow pigment powders and for the background paper i used Starburst stains.
Thankyou for looking and a Big thankyou for all your lovely comments.I really must have an evening blogging to return them
Thankyou
Bye for now
