A Ocean Vintage - Part 1
Hey There Crafty Friends!
I'm here today to share my latest Polkadoodles creation for the BLOG and Ive gone a little Ocean Vintage.
Ive used the gorgeous Digi stamp Winnie Mermaid Mermazing

This one was a little tricky to paint as I had to reduce the size of the image to fit into the heart frame. She is only about 1 1/2 inches, so I painted her with my finest brush using Distress Re-Inker Walnut Stain. I then added Crackled Accents and when dried added more Walnut Stain in the cracks to create a more Vintage effect.

The Heart frame and Seahorse  I made with a mould and Airdry clay. The other bits and pieces are from my stash of metals and charms which Ive collected over the years. The flowers are all handmade. Its great to save everything from previous projects regardless of their colour, as they are great for these sorts of projects, as once they are stuck down everything is covered with Gesso before you paint.
I used Prima Alchemy Paints and waxes to great this effect.
When finished rub a little wax over the raised edges to accentuate areas.

Below is the actual size of Winnie which will be part 2 of my next project coming soon.

I hope you like it :D
Thanks so much for stopping by Crafty friends and see you soon

♥A January Girl In June♥

Hey Everyone!
I'm here today to with my post for the POLKADOODLES BLOG. I'm using one of the Polkadoodles January Girls and a couple of the gorgeous new Polkadoodles dies. These dies are amazing I just LOVE them and I'm sure you will too.

Ive used January Girl- Heart on your sleeve water coloured using Distress Re-Inkers.

The gorgeous new dies are
Delicate Daisy Corner which Ive used a tiny part of. Its a great die for cutting out little bits.

The Delicate Daisy Cluster Ive used two ways and Ive a little step by step on how I made the 3D Roses with the dies.
I die cut out the medium flower three times and using the ball tool I shaped the petals. Make two slits on two of the flowers.

Carefully roll one of the flowers using a fine tool. A cocktail stick is good for this, but I used the end of a very fine paintbrush. Then roll the second flower around it.

Finally adhere to the third flower and gently paint the edges with white paint.

Other Dies I uses were the Rectangles
Papers are Belle Papillon

Thankyou so much for stopping by.
Happy Crafting
