Dream Dreamer

Hey Crafty Friends :D
I'm here to share my latest project using the gorgeous  Ula Don't Listen for the Polkadoodles BLOG
Once again I got all messy and made Mixed Media Canvas.
Below is a few steps on what I did.
I bought a 99p blank canvas from Home Bargains, covered in scraps of paper and Cheesecloth and coated with a couple layers of Gesso.

I then added lots of air dry clay flowers and leaves. I make a lot of these all in one go and when I do a project like this they are all ready,
Also on there are charms and flowers from my stash.
I found a Prima frame which I have had for a long time which was perfect for this.
Give everything a generous coating of Gesso and allow to dry.

Once I had placed my bits and pieces in place I sprayed with black lightly to add depth and then mixed Magical powder and sprayed lightly.

I then added a Alchemy paints to add a little more colour and covered the top in White Gold Wax.

Ula I painted with Distress Re-Inkers.
Also around the edges Ive added a little frantage fragment pieces.

Hope you like it.
Thankyou for stopping by and see you again soon.

Part Two - Mermazing Mixed Media

Hello Crafty Friends
I'm back again with part two of my Mermazing Mixed Media. If you missed part one it is HERE
I have now used the larger of the Digi Winnie Mermaid Mermazing and made a card.

I first coloured Winnie with Distress Reinkers and then coated her with a light layer of Crackle Accents to give her a vintage look. I then used a Shaker Dome to make it look like a Porthole window filled with Glass Accents and Frantage.
I coloured the outside in Vintage Gold Metallique Wax and added metal elements.

The rest of the elements are moulds and charms from my stash painted with Alchemy Paint and finished with the Vintage Gold Wax.

Papers are the gorgeous Polkadoodles Fourni....OMG I'm so in love with these.
I hope you like and have helped to inspire you a little.
Thankyou so much for stopping by today.

A Ocean Vintage - Part 1
Hey There Crafty Friends!
I'm here today to share my latest Polkadoodles creation for the BLOG and Ive gone a little Ocean Vintage.
Ive used the gorgeous Digi stamp Winnie Mermaid Mermazing

This one was a little tricky to paint as I had to reduce the size of the image to fit into the heart frame. She is only about 1 1/2 inches, so I painted her with my finest brush using Distress Re-Inker Walnut Stain. I then added Crackled Accents and when dried added more Walnut Stain in the cracks to create a more Vintage effect.

The Heart frame and Seahorse  I made with a mould and Airdry clay. The other bits and pieces are from my stash of metals and charms which Ive collected over the years. The flowers are all handmade. Its great to save everything from previous projects regardless of their colour, as they are great for these sorts of projects, as once they are stuck down everything is covered with Gesso before you paint.
I used Prima Alchemy Paints and waxes to great this effect.
When finished rub a little wax over the raised edges to accentuate areas.

Below is the actual size of Winnie which will be part 2 of my next project coming soon.

I hope you like it :D
Thanks so much for stopping by Crafty friends and see you soon

♥A January Girl In June♥

Hey Everyone!
I'm here today to with my post for the POLKADOODLES BLOG. I'm using one of the Polkadoodles January Girls and a couple of the gorgeous new Polkadoodles dies. These dies are amazing I just LOVE them and I'm sure you will too.

Ive used January Girl- Heart on your sleeve water coloured using Distress Re-Inkers.

The gorgeous new dies are
Delicate Daisy Corner which Ive used a tiny part of. Its a great die for cutting out little bits.

The Delicate Daisy Cluster Ive used two ways and Ive a little step by step on how I made the 3D Roses with the dies.
I die cut out the medium flower three times and using the ball tool I shaped the petals. Make two slits on two of the flowers.

Carefully roll one of the flowers using a fine tool. A cocktail stick is good for this, but I used the end of a very fine paintbrush. Then roll the second flower around it.

Finally adhere to the third flower and gently paint the edges with white paint.

Other Dies I uses were the Rectangles
Papers are Belle Papillon

Thankyou so much for stopping by.
Happy Crafting

♥Birthday Celebrations♥

Hi Everyone
I'm here today to share a Birthday Card I made for my daughter. I think the Ruby's are perfect for young women and teenagers, so I used Ruby Celebrations stamp.
I coloured her with Distress Inks.

The Ruby's are particularly long stamps and its sometimes difficult to find a die long enough to cut them out, but the Pierced Ovals Easel die set work perfectly with them.
The balloon on this stamp makes it even larger and here's a little tip on how to make it work.

Draw around like so in the picture around the top of Ruby and either side of the balloon and carefully cut along the line. For the die to fit in at the back of the balloon cut little further down than the line.

Align the die on the pre cut area but make sure it is at the back of the balloon and cut out the image
Here are the products I used

Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

♥ Hoorayyyy Winnie ♥

I'm here today to share my card using the new Winnie Hooray stamp.
Ive coloured Winnie with Distress Reinkers.
Ive also added one of the new sentiments from the Sentimentals pack. There's so much you can do with this pack. I used one of the Posydoodles circles to cut out a section of the circle and coloured with Distress Oxide Spun Sugar.
Then using the Lovely Lace Rectangles I cut out twice. These are going to be adhered together to make the base of the card.
Score from the top about an inch down and fold. This will form the easel. Add double sided tape and adhere to the front.
It should look like this.
Once I had coloured Winnie I stamped around the edges with one of the texture stamps from the NEW set Textures Galore.
Butterflies are Sizzix and Doohickeys
Below is the full list on everything Ive used

Thankyou so much for stopping by today I hope you like it. :D

Far Far Awayyyyy......

Good Morning Crafty Friends!
I'm here today to share my latest card using one of the new release Digi Winnie's. Ive used Faraway Winnie. I know I said in my last post about being a stamping girl ...BUT ....I just couldn't wait for her to become available as a stamp. She's just gorgeous.

Do you struggle with Digi's?
I do, because I use watercolour paper and it is too thick to go through my printer, but below is a little step by step on how I master it.
I hope it helps you too :D

Once you have downloaded your image to your laptop/Ipad, open up in the program you use. I have a MacBook so I use 'Pages' to do this. Resize to the size you are happy with and click on print. This then should bring up the printing box and show you the size it will be printed onto the A4 paper. My printer is a HP Officejet Pro 6830. Also outlined in pink is the Opacity. If like me you don't like your images to be jet black, you can alter the percentage to a greyer shade.
Once you are happy with the settings click print on normal A4 paper. It may take a few attempts until you are happy with the size and depth of the image.

I then cut out a piece of my Water Colour paper and tape over the pre-printed image.
For colouring I use Bockingford Hotpressed extra smooth.
Once taped over the image, put back into the printer tray and click print. NOTE..Remember to put in correct way so the image prints in the exact same spot as the previous and onto the Water Colour Paper.
Yes! Voila.... This is how it should look and you are all ready to paint :D
and so it begins.
I colour with Distress Inks and occasionally Distress Pens

Papers used are Beau Paperie Belle. Flowers I handmade and dies are from my stash.
Oh and here are the rest of the gorgeous MUST HAVE release

Thankyou for stopping by and I hope Ive helped you attempt a Digi image
