Yay!! We've woken up to Snow here in Yorkshire this morning and it's sunny. A perfect Winter's Day!
I started this card last night for the 'Just Magnolia Challenge', so it's perfect for todays weather.
Ive used 'Flying Angel Tilda' which is from this years Christmas Collection.
Ive painted Tilda with Distress inks and papers are Basic Grey
I loved arranging these flowers!LOL! I always did want to own a florists!!
Happy Friday everyone!
I was just driving home from work(about half an hour ago) , when i got an instant message from Vix telling me she had her Craft Stamper!!! Boy, I sure put my foot! down and what was in my post when I got home! yippee
Here's a lil Sneaky peak.
Right off for a cuppa and a read
Here I am again with another Tilda card for a couple more Challenges.
I was let loose with one of my first introductions into the crafting world on this card! A HEATGUN!! I haven't used it for ages and I got a little carried away!!LOL. Years ago, I always edged my card with Gold Embossing powder. I used loads of the stuff!! So I got back to basics with this card. I even edged the roses with it too!!
For the tag I used Gold Leafing for the Merry Christmas Text. At last ive purchased something that works. Ive always struggled with Gold Leafing, as all the glues Ive tried haven't worked and believe me Ive tried them all, from glue pads to Stamp 'n' Bond!!:( Until now!!! :)))
And what's more, the funny thing is, it's been under my nose for the past 8 years!! What I'm waffling on about is the Perfect Paper Duo Adhesive by Artquest. It wasnt until a couple of weeks ago, I went on a US Artquest workshop with Jill and we used it. Fantastic stuff or what!! I've got the 'Midas' bug now!! LOL
Tilda is painted with Distress inks and Ive also gone over with a Gold Stardust pen, so she is very glittery
Hello Again you lovely bloggers
Well Ive decided this Tilda -'Tilda as Lucia' is definately my fave out of this years Christmas Magnolias. She's so gorgeous and I loved making this card. It has really got me into the Chrismas spirit.
I used the Magnolia trees from my members package which are stamped and embossed with white detail embossing powder. The snowflakes behind her are from Tims edger dies
It's another fab Challenge over on the Magnolia Down Under Challenge Blog. This week it's a sketch. So come on all you UK girly Mag lovers, pop over and join in.
I'm not quite sure which colllection this Tilda is from but she's new to me . The papers are Magnolia. The snowflake is Spellbinders and ive also use Tim's Rosette Die on here(twice)
I thought I'd have a go at a few more challenges. One being over on Just Magnolia and the other which is a new Magnolia Challenge Blog called Magnolia-licious and Crafty Card Makers
I started this card about 2 months ago but it got shelved!!!LOL I think Ive got too much on the go and not enough time. Anyway out came the papers when I got home and set to work!
It's not an Easel even though it might look like one. More like a 3D card!!
Here's a pic of the side view.
I used Tilda, Tim's sizzix die 'Baroque' and papers were by Prima
Ive been bored tonight and I couldn't motivate myself into doing something I was supposed to do!!!(So that's on the back burner!!)LOL...for now!
Anyways, hubby's watching the football, so I went off and made this. Having a couple of challenges in mind (well 6!) it started off as a card, then I got carried away with the charms etc and it turned into a hanger! Oh well!!
Tilda was all ready painted from the weekend, as I couldn't decide which of them to use (SEE LAST POST) for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge at the weekend. So there's two the same in a row!!lol
Her wings have been sprayed with Glitz Spritz for the glittery effect and Glitter glue in the heart and wings, but it was tough to photograph.
Here's a close up
For the leave of the flowers I etched with Encore Silver Pigment Ink
Well it's the start of another weekly Challenge over on the Magnolia Down UnderChalleng Blog and this week the Challenge is 'Make your own Embellishments'.
Ive used 'Tilda with hanging Heart' from the new Christmas collection. Yes you know me and hearts!!!LOL, another one I HAD to have !!!hee hee
My own made embellishments were the Poinsettias using the Magnolia Poinsettia Die and for the leaves I used the Angel wings die. Papers are basic grey Jovial. Tilda is painted with DI's
It's another new challenge over on the THE STAMPMAN CHALLENGE BLOG and this week it's 'Christmas- Anything Goes'
I thought I'd do a Christmas Decoration similar to the one I have done in December's issue of Craft Stamper. This time I have used another of Tim's stamps'Reindeer Flight'.
My hubby is holding this for me as I needed light for the snowflakes to show through and would he stay still!!!!LOL His arm kept quivering!!
I cut out the shrink plastic with Nesties Label 16. I then masked a moon with a paper circle and inked around with blue pigment ink, stamped the trees with Coffee Archival and the snowflakes with White Brilliance pigment ink, THEN shrunk.
Also don't forget to makes two small holes at the top and bottom for the ribbon and charms.!!(which I did the first time!!!)LOL
and here's a little sneaaky peak of the New issue out NOW
Sorry I just had to put it as my title,it's been in my head the whole time I was making it.
I've made this for a couple of Challenges, one being a shaker Challenge. Ive never made one of these before and made it up as I went along.
It was easy really, as all I did was put two pieces of acetate together with double sided tape and sprinkled Iced crystals and Diamond Dust(tiny pieces of glass) which are great for the shaky' noise!!
Tilda is from the new Christmas Collection and the papers are Basic Grey.
